We had another hilarious program today when Dave McMonigle, Geoff Tookey and Mike Real staged a mock football game between rivals USC and UCLA at the meeting. Coach Pete Carroll was there (Pat Dolphin) as was Coach Rick Neuheisel (Pat Barnes). Each coach would read off a play and as Mike Real drew the concealed results the ball was advanced or turned over to the other team. First USC scored then UCLA answered back. In between, McMonigle cut to commercials, which were videos of prepared ads. The first was promoting the Arboretum and showed Godzilla rampaging cities and crushing cars. Then a promo for Rotary dentists filmed at the office of Jay Crabtree with patient Mike Real in the chair. Quickly back to the action and suddenly UCLA had scored two TD’s while we were at commercial. USC took over and completed a35 yard pass, then another run. As USC advanced we cut to a commercial advertising the law offices of Hutton, Hutton, Hutton, & Hutton (it’s better to be Rich……Hutton that is). Back to the game someone called for the score and Rider shouts out in favor of Oregon, yeah right! As we went to the final commercial for Weaver insurance we find out Matt is offering an Action Sports Policy while viewing a bunch of wipe-outs of water skiers. Final score nobody knows but all did a great job of making us laugh. Many thanks also to Eric, Geoff and Laura for the decorations; they added a lot. Great program boys!
