Last Saturday about 25 of us met at Barney’s  Only Place in Town, had a bite then went across the road to see Anna in the Tropics.  Set in the 1920’s, the Pullitzer prize winning play focused on the issues in a hand-rolled cigar factory in Tampa, Florida. The acting was excellent, the story a bit long winded for me, but a nice evening out was had by all.

Last Monday was the annual “Monday Night Football” at Paul K’s hacienda.  In one evening Paul makes up for many missed meetings… not enough, but some.  Bob Harbicht and his brother were on the grill as usual, George Fasching ran the gaming and Paul K. stayed behind the bar.  “If I don’t win, I won’t do it next year” Paul demanded. He did not win.

The game was between the NY Giants and Dallas Cowboys and with some mistakes and creative play, entertained even those who rarely follow football. It was nice to see new Red Badges and Blue Badges mingling.

A big thanks again to Paul K and his wife Sandra for hosting,  and the social committee for an excellent event.
