Mike Real was deputy Rec’n Crew for the day, with the first fines going to the Class of 1962 at La Salle High School.  Keith Brown was recognized for $50 for attending the 50 year class reunion for this outstanding class.  His classmate, Frank Griffith, didn’t show for the reunion, but was fined $25 anyway.

Brad Miller, Ashley Andrews, and Bob Hoffman were recognized for $36.50 each for appearing in photos in the newspaper of the recent Arcadia Historical Foundation’s event.  Ashley attempted to establish a statute of limitations on the event held in September, but the Rec’n Crew recognizes no such statutes and the fines were upheld.

Ernie Aragon’s wife, Clara, won a blue ribbon for her salsa at the Los Angeles County Fair, earning Ernie a fine of $50.  He was given the opportunity to reduce his fine to $25 if he brings the award-winning salsa to the Red Badger’s October Fest on Sunday evening, October 14, coincidentally at the home of Mike Real.

Monrovia Rotary’s Casino Night was enlivened with a dance performance by Tom Crosby’s wife, Virginia, and friends.  Tom missed seeing their can-can dance because of work commitments, but even his complaint that he didn’t get to see the costume didn’t get him out of a fine of $27.
