The Rec’n Crew started of recognitions with Rich Hutton’s introduction of new member, “Ralph,” aka Bob Novell. It seems Bob mistakenly put on Ralph Orr’s name badge and earned himself a fine of $15.50.
Mike Real was initially recognized for his eldest son’s engagement to be married in June 2014. This recognition was lost in the succeeding events, which involved Mike’s skydiving adventure the next day with fellow Rotarian, Jay Harvill. As Jay noted, “Good Friday, better Saturday.” Mike and Jay were fined $21.50 each. Mike got a $20 credit for his son’s wedding, but, lest he get too comfortable, he was fined $40 for his ongoing contributions to Rotary.
Aaron Rose was recognized for his hard work on the Mexico project last weekend. The photos documenting his work, however, seemed to involve mostly his observing the work going on. The final photo showed him swinging a hammer and earned his fine of $35.
John Murphy wasn’t able to golf on Thursday for his regular round with Dick Martinez. He cut his hand when he dropped a fish bowl. Sadly, the resident fish moved into the light. John repeatedly tried to move the focus to Dick’s new golf clubs, to no avail. John was fined $15.
