New member Dan Place has been a member of the barbershop chorus called Masters of Harmony for 25 years. He is one of 100 members of this championship-winning group based in Santa Fe Springs. They will be competing in Las Vegas on July 4 at the international competition there. Dan was fined $50 for sharing his musical talents in a recent concert attended by Finemaster Bob.

Eszylfie Taylor was the keynote speaker at a medical conference … in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. The hardship of this duty earned him a fine of $25. He was recognized for another $25 for his first starring role in the mini-series “Roots.” He played the role of the infant Kunta Kinte who was memorably dedicated by actresses Cicely Tyson and Maya Angelou playing his mother and grandmother at his birth in Africa.
