George was at it again recognizing and fining our lovely Rotarian!
First on the hot seat was David Freeman. Last time Dave was recognized a few months ago was for the move to his new office which has a very nice covered parking. Under this covered parking space sits Dave’s new car which he hesitated to admit. After announcing that Dave’s new car is an Audi, George asked Erich Rail to join him on the hot seat to play the Price is Right’s “That’s too High.” The name of the game is for George to name the price of the car and when Erick thinks that the price is too high he shouts out “That’s too high!” We start off with $20,000, than $30,000, than $40,000, next $50,000; and that’s when Erick said “That’s too high!” And with this, Erich loses the game because the cost of the brand new Audi was not less than $50,000 but actually $92,000. And with this both were fined for $40!
Next on the hot seat was Dr. Mahlon “Butch” Chinn. We all were seeing him all after a long time. His parents have recently moved to the Kensington’s in Sierra Madre. This was an emotional move for both of them. However, they are very happy. George went to go see Mahlon’s dad many years ago, he had asked George to bring back a some lab work so they could run test; however, George never did so. He asked if Mahlon could kindly deliver a brown paper bag to his father and was recognized for $75. But, wait there is more, Mahlon said “I just became a grandfather lets make it a $100!”
And the last contestant to be put on the hot seat was Terry Earll who has been a real estate agent since 1974. With a large staff and busy office, today George focused on his marketing. Last week while reading the paper George came upon a house listing in the spa section. This advertisement was a property of Terry’s. Terry’s response to this was that the house had a beautiful spa itself nothing less than the others advertised and with this he was fined for $27.
