So, taking matters into his own hands, Ken asked Dong Chang if he was happy to be celebrating his birthday. With some prompting, Dong offered to contribute $1 per year for his “57” years …hmmm … is it the truth?
In the ongoing cross-town rivalry, the UCLA fans were fined $20 each for two recent losses to USC. Mike Ojeda volunteered to recognize John Wilson for his share when they met later in the hotel bar. John was fined the requisite $20; Mike was fined $5 for meeting in the bar.
Three Arcadia Rotarians have just returned from a trip to Cuba. Only two were present, Kathy Ellison and Imy Dulake, but their cohort Frank Griffith was included in the recognition in absentia. None of them brought back any Cuban cigars to share with the club’s stogie-lovers, so all three were recognized.
