The luncheon tables were all decorated to represent countries of the world, with center pieces indicating the country. The countries were as follows Israel, Poland Iran, Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, England, China, Italy and Korea.
The first part of the program was Bob Deao calling on the assigned Ambassador from each table to give a short humorous description of how they celebrated the holidays in their respective countries..It was done in fun, and not very factual. We all had many laughs from the reports.
The second part was from the Irish delegation, introduced by Tom Cosby. They were two young Irish dancers, in costume, to entertain us with some Irish dances. The first group of dances were with soft shoes, and the second group were with clog hard shoes. They were veery talented young ladies.
Tom Cosby had an additional surprise for us, with a group of four dancers from a show and himself dancing one of the dances from the show. It had a lot of very high kicking , leaving Tom a little out of breath. Costumes were worn by all of the ladies, and was very well done by all.
The final part to the entertainment was the arrival of Santa. Members brought their children and grandchildren to receive gifts from Santa, one of the fun parts of Christmas. You could tell that they had a great time by the wrapping paper left on the floor.
