On last Friday we had two tremendous Craft talks by Nicole Adams and Jacob White

Jacob White
Was raised in the San Fernando Valley  and Agoura Hills area. Came to the Arcadia and his wife saw a house for sale and wanted to look at it. Jacob was too interested but he went along with the wife they liked and bought the house, it was Jim Kuhn’s. Jacob is 33years old. His wife Bridgett, son Isaiah and daughter Gabrielle joined club to hear Jacob’s craft talk. Jacob remarked he so very blessed.  He lives his daily life by counting his blessings and giving back to others. He is the kind of guy that never miss a day of school in high school. During this time his family had challenging times which included a bankruptcy.
Jacob attended UCSB and graduated with a business degree. Arthur Anderson (AA) the large accounting firm gave him a internship in his senior year. AA gave him a 2 month reward after he graduated for a backpack trip in Europe. It allowed him to go to Poland to see Auschwitz concentrations camp  famed for the extermination so many Jews. When he called his dad  when he was on the train to the camp. His dad quipped all the polish Jews wanted out of Auschwitz and here is son who wants to visit it.
He began business career with AA for 2 years but found he hated public accounting. He next went into a equipment lease financing business with his cousin. He now heads his own company cal JB2 Funding Corp, which he remarked was doing nicely and it is in the equipment financing business.

Nicole Adams
Nikki showed up for her talks with black hair, gone are the blond locks. She is one of our newest members and the youngest at 26. She went through the Arcadia school district participates in many activities including four years of cheering. After graduating from Arcadia High School she started to work as a skin and facial specialist was working on getting her business going but the economic downturn caused her to look elsewhere. She had a friend that worked at Ritz Carlton in Maui Hawaii so she flew over to interview. She got a job as a poolside cocktail waitress for about 8 months and then came back to be a receptionist and that is where she noticed some plaques given by Arcadia Rotary and she though one day she would like to join Rotary.
Nikki next had video that featured people in her life that are important to her and some information about Cystic Fibrous an illness she suffers from for which there currently no cure. The video showed the large number of prescription drugs she has to take to stave off lung infections. Even with those drugs she still on occasion has to go to the hospital for weeks at a time to have IV solutions put in her to fight the disease.
She ask that if anyone wish to help they could contribute to Cystic Fibrous by contacting her. She currently works at Master Escrow and loves escrow paperwork and the people she works for.
