The Arcadia Rotary Club’s Field of Honor will be held from 05/21/2016 to 05/29/2016 at Arcadia County Park at the corner of Santa Anita and Huntington Drive. 1,000 American flags will stand in formation paying tribute to veterans, loved ones, and other special people who have touched the lives of individual flag sponsors. Individual flags are $50, and each flag sponsor can write a message on a card that will be affixed to the flag and the sponsor will be able to retain the flag at the end of the display. Each club member is encouraged to pick up several pamphlets and encourage friends to participate in this great project.

The club’s next social event will be a dinner where you will be the cook! The cook-it-yourself dinner will be at Sautee Culinary Academy in Monrovia on 05/07/2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You will learn how to prepare a wonderful Mediterranean dinner. The cost is $60/person. There will be sign-up sheets at future meetings. You’d better sign up fast as there are only 24 spots available.

Mark your calendars! … Monte Carlo Night is scheduled for June 4, 2016. More details to come.

Also, put on your calendar that the installation of Rosie Mares as Arcadia Rotary President for 2016-2017. The installation will be held on Friday, 06/24/2016 at Monrovia’s Double Tree Hotel.
