1. Dan Bayer is back in the hospital with Kidney problems.
2. Rotary District Conference: Submit your nominations for awards for the wonderful work that’s been done by Mar. 16, 2013.
3. Sign up for Introductions of guests, Invocations, and Pledge of Allegiance for next Quarter (Pat Barnes and Mary Salcedo have the list).
4. Temple City Interact Club. Aaron Rose and Jack McRae encouraged us to support the TC Rotary club in their support of the Interact Club by donating to their banner fundraising ( the bell fundraising has been completed).
5. Keith Brown recently lost his sister: a card was passed around for all to sign and give messages of our sympathy and support.
6. Tom Crosby encouraged all to help him support the Monrovia Boys and Girls Club – Volunteers – April 6, 2013 setting planter boxes, loading soil, etc., so the kids can learn to plant and grow things.
7. Arcadia Rotary Participation – International/ Annual/ Service Program-Wheelchair Program. Speaker’s gift in the name of the speaker. Great Idea.
8. Tijuana Orphanage building project ( extremely rewarding and valuable ) group going down: Sat. Mar. 15,2013. (Crosby and Martinez)
9. Dan Stover Music Contest: May 18, 2013.
10. Relay for Life: June 15,2013.
11. Steak and Beans Luncheon, sometime in June. Mary Salcido, Membership Chair, said that those who bring in a new member will eat steak while the rest will have beans.
- Casino Night Publicity. Pres. Eric wants all publicity information to be submitted to Steve Pelletier as soon as possible.
- Rotary Peace Conference, March 9 from 9 AM to 12:30. The event will be held at the University Club in Pasadena.
- The Drowsy Chaperone at the New Performing Arts Center, Mar. 21 & 22 at 7 PM and Mar. 23 at 4 PM. You can purchase tickets online or at Denny’s where you can get a $5 discount.
- District 5300 Assembly, April 19 and 20. The event will start with a dinner on the 19th and the assembly on the 20th. Contact Pres. Eric for details.
- Salute to Seniors, May 14 at the Arcadia Community Center. Tom Miles said there would be a lot of entertainment including a Dixieland band.

- Volume 2, More Visions of Arcadia, to be published late this summer. Bob Harbicht encouraged us to submit essays that may be used in the publication that will be a compilation of stories about Arcadia’s past and present. Due date for a synopsis, no longer than 200 words, is due March 4. If selected, write an essay, between 500 and 1,500 words, by April 1. Essays may be sent to City of Arcadia, P.O. - Arcadia Toastmasters Meeting, May 11 at 7 PM at the Embassy Suites. According to Aaron Rose, a member, the event will commemorate the 75th anniversary. Tickets are $40 each
