Laura Freedman announced that the VIP luncheon is scheduled for April 30, 2010. The primary purpose is to invite prospective new members. So far there were 35 invitees. This weekend would be the last opportunity to invite additional guests and to notify Laura by email to add them to the list.
Judge Bruce Marrs announced that he will preside over a City Council candidate debate at the Santa Anita Inn on March 31, 2010, with questions posed by the Arcadia High School Constitution Team.
Peggy Allison announced that so far 61 tickets had been sold for the Pot of Gold dinner. She suggested that tickets could be purchased by a member, or a consortium of members, and resold to others.
Imy Dulake announced that Sue Newton’s husband had passed away.
David Hu made several announcements (some of which may be interconnected). Next month he will be moving to downtown Los Angeles. David’s daughter, a Wellesley graduate had been accepted into medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. David’s first wife passed away two and a half years ago, but now he is married again. If you are interested in tickets to the Tournament of Roses parade, let David know by early August.
John Davis announced that there would be a work project at Camp Trask on April 24, 2010.
