Please remember that we will not be meeting at Embassy Suites on Friday, April 24th. Instead we’ll be meeting at the Peacock Cafe at the Arboretum. The program on Friday will explain why you shouldn’t be in such a rush to replace your lawn and Richard Schulhof will share with us some of the 85 sculptures on display at the Arboretum.

The club’s annual Salute to Seniors will be held on Tuesday, May 12th at the Arcadia Community Center at noon. Members are needed to help set up beforehand, serve food at the event, and cleanup afterwards. Please take a couple of hours out of your day to salute our seniors.

On Friday we honored the Holly Avenue School’s “Teacher of the Year”, Erin Dahle, at our meeting.  Erin attended Arcadia schools and has taught first, second, and fourth grades in the AUSD for 12 years.

In addition to honoring Holly Avenue School’s “Teacher of the Year” we also honored Arcadia High School’s “Students of the Month” Matthew Jung and Alex Tan. Matthew was honored in Athletics and Alex was honored in Performing Arts.
