1. The Memorial Service for Frank Hall will be held on Saturday, 07/31/2021 at Mater Dolorosa, 700 N. Sunnyside Avenue, Sierra Madre, CA. Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. followed by a reception. On Tuesday 07/20/2021 the Club will present a donation to the Arcadia Fire Department and to the Arcadia Police Department at the City Council meeting to be held in the council chambers at City Hall. The City Council meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. President Ashley Andrews would like to see a large number of members attend to show support for the club.
  3. Altadena Rotary Club is hosting a Concert in the Park to be held at Farnsworth Park in Altadena on Saturday 07/17/2021 at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited .
  4. The Rotary District’s 30th annual Peace Conference will be held virtually on Saturday 10/23/21. The topic is entitled “Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access”. Put this date on your calendar,
  5. President Ashley Andrews announced that the club’s project for August will be partnered with the San Dimas Rotary Club on Rehabilitation.
  6. Dick Martinez announced that he will be questioning the members about Rotary at the club meeting starting next week. Dick said that he will post a question about Rotary in the High Gear and then ask members to answer the question at the next club meeting. Watch out if you can’t answer the question as you will be “recognized” with a fine; so you better read the High Gear each week to find the question and then find the answer in the Rotary Blue Book prior to the next meeting. Contact Dick to get a copy of the Rotary Blue Book if you don’t have one. Dick did this a few years back and it was a lot of fun. It’s a great way to learn about Rotary.
