SPONSORS NEEDED FOR GIRLS SOFTBALL

Paul K. asked for volunteers to be sponsors of the Arcadia Girls Softball Association. To sponsor a team is $450 and a league sponsor is $200. The association has 200 girls and it came in 3rd in state competition, and the 10 year olds came in first. Several at the meeting volunteered to sponsor. If interested, please contact Paul.

ROTARY’S ANNUAL DAY AT THE RACES

This event is being organized again by Don Milefchik who said that the number of people who have signed up is down from last year. He is hoping for a bigger turnout and is afraid of losing his job if he doesn’t get more to sign up! The date is Feb. 4th.

FUNDRAISING DINNER FOR THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF THE FOOTHILLS

President Matt is involved in this organization and is encouraging us to attend the dinner on Feb. 5th. He is starting a mentoring program for disadvantaged kids and would like us to get involved. If you are interested in going, please contact Matt.

TIJUANA ORPHANAGE TRIP, JAN. 29 – 30

Tom Crosby would like to get more volunteers to work on the all girl orphanage in Tijuana. If you are worried about safety, Tom assured us that the orphanage is in a very safe area. Please contact either Tom or Dick Martinez if you are interested in going, and they will give you details as to the work that needs to be done. Remember, if you are going, be sure to take your passport if you want to get back to California!
