1.  Art Killian is still recovering .  He is now in  Rehab  receiving physical therapy.

2.  The District Governor’s visit and dinner will be on Friday 08/22/2014.   There will be a signup for those who plan on attending the dinner. Board of Directors will meet at 10:25 AM. The dinner will be at the ElPortal Restaurant.

3.  There will be a club social on Thursday evening 08/07/2014 at the Ball and Chain Restaurant in Hollywood.  There will be a shuttle bus to and from the restaurant at a cost of $25 which will also include 1 appetizer and 1 cocktail at the restaurant.  This should be a great event and would be a great time to bring a prospective member.   There will be a signup sheet for those who plan on attending.  Meet at the Embassy Suites parking lot for the shuttle at 6:00 PM sharp (leaves at6:15).

4.  Denise, of the San Marino Rotary Club reminded us to participate in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life at the Santa Anita Race Track this weekend, Aug.2 and 3,2014.  Rotary is a Sponsor.

5.  Get ready for football! October 1, 2014 there will be an event, starring the USC Trojans and somebody (Arizona State). Details to follow.

6.  Viva Las Vegas!  The Derby Restaurant is holding a benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of the Foothills. It will be a casino night, Saturday, August 23, 2014, 7-11:PM. Dustin has 30 free tickets for entrance for Arcadia Rotarians, who are helping sponsor the event.
