[Dick Martinez] went down to Tijuana last Thursday and watched sixteen kids being fitted and given the hearing aids that were the result of our Matching Grant. It was a very rewarding day with the Tijuana Rotarians and their very active Rotary Partners group in attendance. Attached are some pictures of the kids and their big smiles and very thankful parent. All the children required a device for each ear. Originally the grant as written was for twenty hearing aids; however, the Rotarians and their partners were able to get a better price and that is how we were able to purchase thirty two of them with the same grant money.

After the kids were fitted, I attended Tijuana’s meeting at the Marriott Hotel where we had a great lunch and fellowship. It was a very good day.

The children and Rotarians want to thank your club and Interact club for the dollars that made all of this possible.
