Glenn Oyoung took the podium as Finemaster this week. Although the wind was taken out of his sails (inside joke from the Jim Helms table) by initial technical difficulties, he redeemed himself with low hanging fruit. T.G. Metzger and his Halloween Hoopla received a fine. 150 are expected to attend Saturday, October 19. Glenn will serve as the Master of Disaster, I mean, of Ceremonies. T.G. was fined $20, Glenn $10 for a net to T.G. of $10.
Kind of res judicata, but Bob Harbicht, Jim Pontello and Kathy Ellison were fined again for their walking tour in Europe a few weeks ago. This time, for standing next to a sign that read “Elderly people.” Note – taking vacations with fellow Rotarians = fines for weeks. $20 each, AARP discount for a net of $18.
Dr. Hoey was fined for colluding with Dr. Chin to catch 10 rainbow trout at Dr. Chin’s cabin. $80.
Teetering dangerously close to the edge of losing his Sanrio discount, Glenn fined Ian Carter for his success with the Westfield Mall. Glenn attributes this success to dumplings, Sanrio, of course, and Ian’s own business acumen.
Finally, Gina Post was fined for finally getting her Blue Badge. Glenn was so busy trying to arrange a marriage between her children and his, however, that she received merely accolades and no monetary sanction.
