Aaron Rose filled in as deputy Rec’n Crew, starting things off with the “first picture of water on Mars” … you had to be there, but it was a groaner. Aaron was fined $50 by acclamation of the club members.
Frank Hall has his own website where he publishes photos and travelogues of his trips and travels. The most recent edition focuses on his trip to Alaska, traveling 2,500 miles in eleven days, earning him a recognition of $50.
Imy Dulake and her husband, Rick, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in Florida, where Imy, as a faithful Rotarian, made up at the Anna Maria Island Rotary Club. But that’s not what earned her a fine of $30. She sold a $5 million home recently and was recognized for her continued success.
Daniel Yohannes was also in Florida recently, attending a trade show for solar energy. He did not admit to succumbing to the tempting entertainment options available, but Aaron knew better. They apparently sat next to each other at a Blue Man Group show, earning Daniel a fine of $10. That fine was increased to $50 recognizing Daniel’s recent makeup at the Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Rotary Club. He brought back a banner for the club’s collection.
College football fans were fined in two groups – UCLA fans were fined $22 each for their team being ranked #22. USC fans, a larger group, were fined $2 x 22 each for the Trojans’ ranking of #2.
