1. Reminder to bring old Rotarian magazines to the meeting and the club will donate some to hospitals and the rest will be added to our information packet for new members.
2. Reminder that the District Training Seminars on Rotary Foundation, Membership, Public Relations and Grant Management, will be held on Saturday 09/22/2012 at the University of Phoenix Learning Center, 3110 E. Guasti Rd., Ontario, CA from 9:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. There will be a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and a luncheon from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
3. Taste of Arcadia is coming up on Monday 09/24/2012 at the Arboretum. See Bruce McCallum for tickets. The cost is $50 if purchased before the event, with a portion of it coming back to Arcadia Rotary, and the cost increases to $60 if bought at the door. There will be a Rotary booth at the event and Rosie Mares needs club members who are going to the event and have purchased a ticket to help her man the booth. Contact Rose for more information.
4. Also the 2nd annual Post Alarm Golf Tournament for the Boys and Girls Club is scheduled for the morning of 09/24/12 at the Glendora Country Club. See Rob Post for more information.
5. District 5300 is sponsoring Teen Leadership Camp for 8th graders to be held 11/02/2012 to 11/04/2012 at the Irvine Regional Outdoor Educational Ceenter boy Scout Camp in Irvine, CA. They need adults to participate as facilitators as the camp (similar to RYLA but instead for 8th graders). If you are interested in being a facilitator there will be a mandatory training seminar on Saturday 09/22/2012 at the University of Phoenix, 3110 E. Guasti Rd., Ontario, CA.
