If you are going to attend the District Assembly, please contact Pres. Matt and he will arrange car pools. The assembly will be in Victorville followed by a BBQ lunch.

ARCADIA ROTARY FOUNDATION VACANCY

Dave Didier, Pres. of the Foundation, is looking for a volunteer to fill out his board. They meet 4 times a year to decide where to spend the Foundation’s money which goes to many worthy causes, including the Boy Scouts, student scholarships, tents for Pakistan, etc. If interested, please contact Dave.

POT-O-GOLD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Jim Kuhn reminded everyone to fill out the stubbs on their tickets and turn them in to the club. The tickets you can’t use need to be returned to Jim. If they are not returned, they will be charged to you account.

Mike Ojeda is in charge of the silent auction donations. If you have something to donate, please contact Mike.

Dick Martinez is in charge of reservations and seeting arrangements. If you haven’t already signed up, please contact Dick.

SALUTE TO SENIORS, MAY 10

Mary Salcido said the upcoming luncheon event will have a Mexican fiesta theme this year, and a signup sheet will be circulated at the next meeting.

PAUL HARRIS FELLOWS HONORED

Bob Novell presented PHF pins to the following: Matt Weaver and Tom Crosby each got a PHF + 3, and Ken Mallory and Bruce McCallum each got a PHF + 1.  Bob explained that a PHF is for a donation of $1,000 and each one thereafter is an additional $1,000. The money goes to the Paul Harris Foundation and 50% is returned to the Districts to be used as they wish.

KAREN MACNAIR INDUCTED

Pres. Matt had the honor of inducting Karen MacNair, who is sponsored by Pat Barnes and Ben Goland. She is the Wellness Director at the YMCA. At the end of the meeting, everyone got a chance to meet our newest member as they left the room.
